The Convict Lake Campground is closed for the 2008 season. The campground is in the Inyo National Forest. It is a beautiful 88-site facility run by a concessionaire. There are no hook-ups. The fee is $18 a night. Access to the campground is from Highway 395 on the Convict Lake Road across from the Mammoth Airport.

You can reserve 25 of the sites through Reserve America online or toll free (877) 444-6777. Use of the remaining 63 sites are available on a first come first serve basis. Many sites are along Convict Creek, with others next to the meadow. You'll find flush toilets, water and a free sewer dump.

Showers and a coin-operated laundry are available at Convict Lake Resort. Tokens may be purchased at the Store. The campground is one of the most popular in the entire Eastern Sierra. It is open from the end of April thru November 13, weather permitting. Wood for the fire rings and everything else you might need, is sold at the nearby Convict Lake General Store. There is a new fish cleaning station available at Convict Lake Resort.
