Convict Lake is currently ice free and completely accessible!

Spring is here and it’s a great time to be in the Sierras.

You can ski and fish in one weekend! Convict Lake Resort & McGee Creek Lodge are conveniently located near year-round fishing.

Hot Creek, Lower Owens River, part of Upper Owens River and Pleasant Valley Reservoir are some great spots to cast a line.

Fishing Season is just around the corner! April 27th is the day! The lake will be fully stocked with trophy sized trout. The Round Up at the Lake Derby will begin April 28th.

It’s time to start planning those weekend fishing trips to Convict Lake. There is still availability for opening weekend. We have cabins that sleep 2 to 32 people. All of our cabins have full kitchens, bathrooms with showers, propane BBQ grills and more!

Our Opening Day shirts and annual pin for 2024 have arrived and are available for purchase online and in our General Store. Get yours before they’re gone.

We have added a new room to our General Store to add more fishing and camping necessities. We have everything you need from bait & tackle to snacks & beer!

We are taking reservations for boat rentals. We have something for everyone with V-Hulls, pontoons, kayaks and paddleboards. All of our pontoons have Biminis and BBQ grills that make for a fun filled day on the lake.

Mammoth Mountain is still going strong with skiing and snowboarding. There is an 8-footbase at Main Lodge with more snow expected this weekend and next week, which should make for great Spring conditions. We have wonderful Winter Lodging Specials until April 26th.
